Schauspieler Kellan Lutz besetzt seit der ersten Folge der Twilight-Saga die Rolle des Adoptivbruders von Vampirschönling Edward Cullen. Nach der vierten und letzten Verfilmung könnte man meinen der amerikanische Schauspieler hätte die Nase voll vom Twilight-Trubel. Ganz im Gegenteil: Kellan Lutz wäre bei einer Fortsetzung der berühmt berüchtigten Twilight-Saga sofort dabei.
Die Rolle des gutmütigen, muskulösen Adoptivsohns Emmett in der Vampirfamilie Cullen erschien dem hübschen Kellan Lutz wie maßgeschneidert. Dass er bei den weiblichen Fans regelmäßig für Schnappatmung und weiche Knie sorgte, ist nur ein kleiner positiver Nebeneffekt seines Schauspielerjobs. Wenn es nach dem 27-Jährigen ginge, könnte das noch eine ganze Weile so weiter gehen.
Im Gegensatz zu seinen Schauspielkollegen Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart und Ashley Greene, hätte Kellan kein Problem damit, für einen fünften Teil der Twilight-Verfilmung noch einmal in die Rolle des sympatischen Blutsaugers Emmett zu schlüpfen. Der riesige Hype um die Twilight-Saga habe ihm so großen Spaß gemacht, dass er seine Vampir-Rolle ein Leben lang in Erinnerung behalten werde. In einem Interview schwärmte er weiter „Ich liebe meinen Filmcharakter so sehr. Ich liebe die Zusammenarbeit mit diesen tollen Filmemachern. Ich liebe unsere Schauspieler.“ Würde es mehr Twilight-Bücher geben, die verfilmt werden könnten, wäre er natürlich dabei, gibt er ohne zu zögern zu.

Nicht nur schauspielerisches Können scheint dem smarten Kellan Lutz in die Wiege gelegt worden sein, sondern auch sein perfektes Aussehen. Deshalb begann seine Karriere auch erst mit einigen Modelaufträgen. Allerdings bemerkte Kellan Lutz schnell, dass er beim Modeln seine Persönlichkeit nicht so gut ausdrücken konnte, wie als Schauspieler und erklärte damit seinen Jobwechsel.
Ob Model oder Schauspieler, uns kann der smarte Kellan Lutz auf beide Weisen überzeugen. Umso trauriger für alle Twilight-Fans, dass er als Emmett Cullen nicht mehr auf der Kinoleinwand zu sehen ist. Nur ein kleiner Trost sind da die Magazine, auf dessen Cover wir den hübschen Schauspieler bewundern dürfen, wie beispielsweise die aktuelle Ausgabe der „Essential Homme“.

The 28-year-old actor is featured in the mag to promote his new flick Java Heat, which will open in Indonesia on April 18 before hitting theaters in the states on May 10.
Java Heat follows an American (Lutz) in Indonesia who teams up with a Muslim cop to track down a terrorist.
Kellan is set to head to Indonesia from April 17-20 for the film’s premiere and a media tour. We can’t wait to see all the pics!

Kellan Lutz (28) und Sharni Vinson (27) sind Berichten zufolge kein Paar mehr.Der Schauspieler ('Breaking Dawn - Bis(s) zum Ende der Nacht') und seine Kollegin ('Home and Away') kamen Mitte 2011 zusammen, als sie sich bei einem Vorsprechen für 'Step Up 3D' kennenlernten. Seit Lutz mit der 'Twilight'-Vampirsaga seinen Durchbruch feierte, kann er sich vor weiblichen Fans kaum retten, aber der Star könne zum Glück erkennen, wenn man nur wegen seines Ruhms mit ihm zusammen sein will. "Ich habe das Glück, einen klaren Kopf zu haben und ich habe ein gutes Urteilsvermögen. Ich kann durch Menschen durchsehen. Inzwischen lügen mich die Leute so oft an, wie nie zuvor in meinem Leben. Ich glaube nicht, dass ich mich verändert habe. Es ist die Welt, die sich verändert hat", beteuerte Kellan Lutz im Gespräch mit 'Elle'.

In case you haven't heard, Kellan Lutz is back on the market.
The 28-year-old best known as one of those blood-thirsty Cullens from "Twilight" and his girlfriend of nearly two years, Australian actress Sharni Vinson, have reportedly called it quits. (His rep did not immediately respond to a request for comment.)

But at the exact moment his relationship has ended, the actor's career is in overdrive. He'll play the ripped main character in 2014's "Hercules," and provide the voice of Tarzan in an upcoming adaptation of the jungle story. This month, he stars alongside Amber Heard and Brittany Snow in the satirical comedy "Syrup," which is currently available on pay-per-view and hits theaters June 1. "Syrup" is about a guy who has an idea for a new product that he thinks could earn him big bucks, but only if he trusts the villainous Sneaky Pete, who's played by Lutz.
Omg! caught up with the hunk about his "Twilight" co-stars, his latest flick, and -- the biggest question of all -- how he maintains such a buff bod!
What was it about "Syrup" and your character, Sneaky Pete, that made you want to take this role? I'm a huge fan of the book. [The author] Max Barry is a genius. I liked that Sneaky Pete never really spoke, but always had that look in the back of his eye like he had everything figured out.

What's the craziest thing that happened on the set? The time I asked the director [Aram Rappaport] if I could walk across the street for a foot massage at an Asian foot massage parlor and he said yes, then 10 minutes later my phone was blowing up and the [assistant directors] were looking everywhere for me. Apparently, I was in the next scene.

How often do you talk to your former "Twilight" co-stars? I talk to almost all of them when we run into each other or are in the same cities. But Ashley Greene was and is definitely my best friend of the bunch. We had the same agent before we got the movies, so we were already friends beforehand.
OK, time for the serious questions. How do keep your abs so ab-tastic? If I had a dollar for every time I was asked this question! Truth is I work out and do sit-ups. Boxing helps big time! I also try and train with the 8711 stunt team [the team that's worked with actors for movies such as "The Bourne Legacy" and "The Avengers"] down close to where I live in L.A. They are the best at making my body hurt from teaching me new Mixed Martial Arts moves. There are no shortcuts or secrets. I eat healthy for the most part, minus some candy now and again. I have a sweet tooth.
You've been cast as the lead in the upcoming remake of "Hercules" directed by Renny Harlin of "Die Hard 2" and "Cliffhanger." How will you step up your workout for that role? I've been doing two-a-days, which is workout slang for working out twice a day, morning and late afternoon. The director doesn't want me to get too big, so just trying to put on a little extra muscle and lean up as much as I can. And again I did some extra training with David Leitch from 8711 who's a big stunt coordinator. He's awesome.
How do you think Hercules would fare in a fight with the vampires from "Twilight"? Hercules would win, hands down. He's a half-god, whereas vampires are half dead … well, really all dead.
How do you feel about your status as a hottie? Ha. That's a funny question. I honestly don't think about it. If someone says it, it's in one ear and out the other, or if it's written somewhere, I swear my eyes jump over the sentence.
You were on "Sesame Street" this month helping Cookie Monster teach kids the word "vibrate." Was that word your idea? How difficult was it to keep a straight face during filming? The word was not my idea, but I thought it was hilarious and added a little humor to an otherwise straightforward kids educational program. [It's] one that I grew up on, so it was a real honor to be there. And I'm glad adults got a kick out of it as well.

What's your living situation? Are you still sharing homes in Venice, California, and New York with friends, or are you and Sharni thinking of moving in together? I'm finally living alone! As much as I've loved my roommates in the past and they're now my best of friends, I'm a big boy now and enjoy the alone time.
So not only does Lutz have an amazing body, but he's the kind of guy who keeps it classy by politely sidestepping a question about his ex?

Hercules is the role of a lifetime, but you knew The Rock is doing a Hercules movie too. Was there any pause for you about embarking on another one?
No, no, and I love The Rock. I grew up watching wrestling. He’s such a great actor. I wish them the best. They have a great cast but the story is completely different. He’s much older and our Hercules is the man’s journey from him being a boy to a man, and it’s very real and human. Our character goes through being lovestruck and then heartbroken and then anguish and loneliness, sadness and remorse. It’s really a story about a man, a man and the journey to get back to his love. So it’s not a man with super powers. A man not understanding the strengths that he does have and he’s in denial because he doesn’t believe in gods at first and doesn’t believe that he’s the son of Zeus and just really feels rejected by who he thinks is his father. It’s just really going through the story of what a normal boy would go through and the situation that he’s forced into.
I saw a picture of The Rock’s costume and he’s unrecognizable with long hair and a beard. What is your look going to be?
You know what, I wish I had the long blonde locks. I was really fighting for that just because I always envisioned Hercules as that but we have so many fight scenes that are beyond epic. And riding a horse, if it’s not your natural hair, it’d be a lot of work and we don’t have time for that. So my look’s just, I have short hair in this. It’s very cropped and manly.
Will you have any mythological powers at all?
Well, even Renny [Harlin] himself, he’s like, “Kellan, I don’t want you getting bigger. Just get your abs to pop more.” I’m like, “All right, cool.” And I like being bigger. Even I saw Hercules as this giant guy, but the powers that he harnesses, it’s not like he’s throwing bears into the sky or really fighting off any of the monsters like Clash of the Titans or anything like that. It’s really just Gladiator pretty much.
Have you tried on the loincloth yet?
Yes, we walked around all day in that today and did some camera tests.
We haven’t seen your Tarzan yet either.
Yeah, that comes out in October. I was very happy to be a part of that one and do that, another dream come true. That one is motion capture and animated, so quite different. No hair, no makeup. You’re wearing a wetsuit with a bunch of pink balls taped to you. I didn’t have to wear a loincloth which I auditioned wearing one, with my underwear pulled really high and a wig. They’re like, “This is animated and motion capture so no need for that next time you come in” and I’m like, “Really? What’s that mean?” Then I had the time of my life doing it.
Is that in the original period of Tarzan or a modern update?
It’s very modern and contemporary. It’s very up to date and just smart. It deals with the situation with being green and not ruining the earth, being eco friendly.
Even though it’s motion capture, do you get to swing on a vine?
We had to fake it. We had ropes in the studio and we had a pool, a toy alligator I had to wrestle with that they then will create and make it real, so it’s tough acting. It really is acting in the round and you really have to envision the world. There would be a pole in the middle that you had to act was like a giant branch from a tree that you had to move. They built the world it definitely wasn’t the jungle that you will see in the movie. When I was doing ADR, I was just really blown away because I remember being there and I remember playing with the alligator or just being in my treehouse. That was just a frame of a treehouse that they then create. You just sit back and you’re like, “Geez, we’ve come so far with technology and being able to create a world that’s real.”
Do you do the Tarzan call too?
Yeah, yup. That was a lot of work and we can’t share that yet.
You also have Syrup coming out. What type of character do you get to play in that?
An antagonist. I very seldom play an antagonist and that’s all about marketing and the advertising world and how sex sells. It’s the story of two companies and it’s not really the taste that matters or the presentation or what consumers might like, but how it’s sold and the idea behind it and how marketing is so important. My character is Sneaky Pete. The book that Max Barry wrote is so smart and satiric. I loved it and I loved the script that Aram [Rappaport] wrote. My character was supposed to be Japanese I believe so it was just really great to play that character and that they were able to tailor it to me. It’s fun playing a character that doesn’t say much but you have to act with your mannerisms and your facial expressions to sell a feeling. That’s what I got to do with that one. I just really loved embodying a character.
Do you have some dramatic face offs against Amber Heard?
Not dramatic but I definitely get to frustrate her with how I am presenting myself I guess. I’m sure her character just is annoyed because I am her boss and I screw with her.
