Am Sonntag, den 23. September, ist Liberty Ross 34 Jahre alt geworden. Diesen Geburtstag feierte das Model in einer Schwulen-Bar in West Hollywood. Ihren Ehemann Rupert Sanders hatte sie nicht eingeladen.
Für Insider ist das ein echter Beweis dafür, dass die Ehe des Paares seit der Affäre von Sanders mit Twilight-Star Kristen Stewart nur mehr am seidenen Faden hängt.
RumorFix hat Liberty im Schwulen-Club „Eleven“ aufgegabelt, wo sie sich mit ihrem langjährigen Freund Simon Robinson und dessen Partner amüsierte. „Wenn Simon nicht wäre, wäre ich heute Abend zuhause geblieben“, so das Model. „Ich bin ein sehr privates Mädchen.“
Natürlich konnte es sich RumorFix nicht verkneifen, nach der Affäre und ihren Gefühlen zu fragen. Und Liberty nahm sich die Zeit, um zu antworten:
„Wissen sie, niemand kannte mich bevor mich mein Ehemann betrogen hat. Jetzt stehe ich hier im Eleven und sie erkennen mich. Ich würde jede Wette eingehen, wenn dieser Skandal nicht passiert wäre, dann wären sie heute Abend einfach an mir vorbei gegangen, ohne mich auch nur zu realisieren. Es ist nicht schön, so verletzt und zerstört zu werden wie ich es worden bin, aber wissen sie was? Man lernt daraus. Ich bin nicht mehr böse auf Rupert, keine Spur. Ich mache es nicht zu einer wichtigen Sache in meinem Leben. Was mir wirklich wichtig ist sind meine Kinder und mein Leben in den richtigen Bahnen vorwärts zu lenken. Meine Kinder sind das aller Wichtigste in meinem Leben. Das sind sie immer gewesen und das werden sie auch immer sein.“
Ein Augenzeuge hat bestätigt, dass Liberty auch ohne Rupert einen sehr schönen Abend verbracht hat. Sie trank Liköre von feinster Qualität und rauchte eine Zigarette nach der anderen. Dabei tanzte sie mit Kanye West und Jay-Z sowie mit anderen Hip-Hop-Größen.
Sie und ihre Begleiter hielten sich etwa eine Stunde im Eleven auf und hüpften dann durch weiter Bars, bevor sie den Abend im Abbey beendeten. Doch zuvor soll es noch einen Schokoladenkuchen mit Kerzen darauf für Liberty gegeben haben.
Wer sagt denn, dass man nur mit seinem Ehemann Spaß haben kann? Ich finde es nur verständlich, dass Liberty derzeit ein wenig Abstand braucht, um ihren Kopf wieder frei zu bekommen. Immerhin hat man ihr sehr weg getan. Ich denke, dass man im Leben wirklich alles verzeihen kann. Es braucht allerdings Zeit, bis die Wunden heilen und bis man sich klar darüber wird, wie es weiter gehen soll. Und diese Zeit sollte sich Liberty auch nehmen.

Nach seinem Techtelmechtel mit "Snow White & The Huntsman"-Star Kristen Stewart ist Rupert Sanders' Zukunft in dem Märchen-Franchise ungewiss, doch arbeitslos ist er deswegen noch lange nicht: Jetzt soll der Regisseur den geplanten "Van Helsing"-Reboot mit Tom Cruise inszenieren.
Der Vampirjäger "Van Helsing" hatte zuletzt mit der missglückten Hugh-Jackman-Variante nicht viel Glück auf der Leinwand. Tom Cruise möchte dies nun ändern und strebt seit einiger Zeit einen Reboot der Saga zu einem ausbaufähigen Franchise mit sich selbst in der Hauptrolle an. Der Werbefilmer Rupert Sanders, der 2012 mit "Snow White & the Huntsman" sein Spielfilm-Debüt gab, soll den Fantasy-Actioner um den smarten Verteidiger des Guten inszenieren, berichtet die Online-Quelle Twitch.
Für Universal ist dies eine gute Lösung, den Regisseur einzusetzen, bis die Problematik um das "Snow White & The Huntsman"-Sequel geklärt ist. Nach Bekanntwerden der Affäre zwischen Sanders und seiner Hauptdarstellerin Kristen Stewart zogen sich beide von dem Projekt zurück. Nun wird über die Möglichkeit nachgedacht, Rupert Sanders doch wieder inszenieren zu lassen und Stewart lediglich für einen Cameo-Auftritt zu engagieren.
Das Drehbuch zu "Van Helsing" stammt von dem vielbeschäftigten Hollywood-Autoren-Duo Alex Kurtzman und Robert Orci ("Cowboys & Aliens", "Transformers"). Die Story soll diesmal möglichst realistisch werden und den Vampirjäger ähnlich dem aktuellen Batman aus der "Dark Knight"-Reihe sehr menschlich und glaubwürdig präsentieren.

Am 31. Mai startet Rupert Sanders' düstere Märchenverfilmung Snow White and the Huntsman und das, was bis dato von ihr zu sehen war, lässt auf ein Fest für Action- und Fantasy-Fans hoffen. Ein Hingucker sind auch die neuen Charakterposter, die Universal frisch veröffentlicht hat, darunter vier internationale mit Charlize Theron als Königin Ravenna, Kristen Stewart als Schneewittchen - einmal im unschuldigen Kleid, einmal in voller Rüstung - und Chris Hemsworth als Jäger. Hinzu kommen drei weitere Poster, ebenfalls mit den Hauptfiguren des Films.
Während für Snow White and the Huntsman also kräftig die Werbetrommel gerührt wird, laufen zeitgleich schon die Vorbereitungen für den Nachfolger auf Hochtouren. So gibt es Pläne, den Jäger in Teil zwei stärker in den Mittelpunkt zu rücken oder sogar ein ganzes Franchise (das Zauberwort in Hollywood) um ihn herum aufzubauen.
Universal scheint es eilig zu haben, das Projekt auf die Beine zu stellen - wohl auch, um Sanders, der nach Wunsch des Studios wieder Regie führen soll, keine Gelegenheit zu geben, sich anderweitig zu orientieren. Um das Skript zu Snow White and the Huntsman 2 wird sich David Kroepp kümmern, sofern es zu einer Einigung mit ihm kommt.
Damit würde Universal den Film in fähige Hände geben, schließlich gilt Kroepp, der für Paramount momentan am Jack Ryan-Reboot arbeitet, als einer der produktivsten und renommiertesten Autoren der Branche. Mit den Drehbüchern zu Blockbustern wie Jurassic Park, Mission - Impossible, Spider-Man, Indiana Jones und das Königreich des Kristallschädels und - ganz aktuell - Men in Black 3 hat er eine mehr als respektable Filmografie vorzuweisen. Nebenher versucht er sich auch hin und wieder als Regisseur: Im Herbst erscheint sein Actionthriller Premium Rush mit Joseph Gordon-Levitt in der Hauptrolle.

Nur noch genau 30 Tage bis zum Kinostart von „Snow White and The Huntsman“. Pünktlich dazu wurden neue Poster zum Film veröffentlicht!
Diese zeigen die Hauptcharaktere aus dem Film – Kristen Stewart (22) als Schneewittchen, Charlize Theron (36) als böse Königin und Chris Hemsworth (28) als Jäger, mit Axt in der Hand. Das Cover vom Soundtrack ist im Look des neuen Posters gehalten.
Zusätzlich gibt es den neuen TV-Spot „What would you give to see her again?“, der genauso vielsversprechend und actionreich ist, wie wir es schon von den anderen Clips und Trailern gewohnt sind. Im Hintergrund läuft der Song „Breath Of Life“ von Florence + The Machine.
Universal Pictures ist ganz offenbar so angetan von seinem Film, dass die Filmemacher gleich daraus eine ganze Filmreihe machen wollen.
Wie heute bekannt wurde, soll angeblich auf schnellstem Wege ein neues Script geschrieben werden. Ob Kristen Stewart oder die anderen Stars wieder mit im Boot sitzen, ist allerdings noch unklar. Vorher wird Kstew vermutlich ohnehin erst ihren Actionfilm „Cali“ abdrehen.

The FIDM Museum (Los Angeles) is pleased to announce the opening of the 21st Annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design exhibition! Since its inception in 1992, the exhibition has annually honored the incredible creativity of costume designers in the film industry. This year’s exhibit showcases costumes from all five Academy Award nominees for Best Costume: Anna Karenina, Les Misérables, Lincoln, Mirror Mirror, and Snow White and the Huntsman. Also featured are costumes from American Reunion, Argo, The Avengers, Django Unchained, End of Watch, Hitchcock, The Hunger Games, John Carter, The Master, ParaNorman, A Royal Affair, Skyfall, and Sparkle. Selected costumes from The Artist, last year’s Academy Award winner for Costume Design, are also on exhibit.

If you were scratching your head wondering how Snow White and the Huntsman could generate a sequel — given that the evil queen, Charlize Theron, died at the hands of Kristen Stewart in the first film — then scratch no further. On Monday, screenwriter David Koepp was on hand to illuminate all things ice and snow at a special New York screening of Michael Shannon's contract-killer film The Iceman (sponsored by Grey Goose), and talk soon turned to the Snow White sequel. "It's like The Empire Strikes Back," Koepp told Vulture. "I felt like they had a really, really great idea that seemed like a natural extension of the story ... Snow White is queen now, but the mirror is still there. It doesn't bode well for our innocent little queen." Assuming even if she succeeds in vanquishing yet another evil in the second film, the fight is far from over: Koepp is already thinking past the sequel. "There's plenty to go," said Koepp, who has been pulling some of his new characters from Russian fairy tales. "There's also a great idea for a third movie." Feel the Force, Snow.

Costumes from three of the five "Best Costume" Oscar nominees have gone on display at The NBCUniversal Experience
A movie is made up of 158 different moving gears and parts and cogs, but there is one we as an audience are perennially drawn to: costumes.
Maybe it is because we too wear clothes? Perhaps. But we like to think that costumes are the achievable gateway into movie fantasy. We may never dangle from a helicopter or run from a monster on the lip of a volcano, but we can go to the fabric store and make ourselves an Alice in Wonderland dress and wear that about town, if we choose.
We love costumes, in short, which makes the annual movie costume display at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising very popular indeed. Alas, that just closed for another year, at the end of April, but the NBCUniversal Experience is coming through to dry our sartorial-based sniffles.
Elaborate and gorgeous costumes from three of the five "Best Costume" nominees from the 85th Academy Awards have just gone on display at the NBCUniversal Experience at Universal Studios Hollywood.
And those three flicks? "Les Misérables" (look for the frock worn by Anne Hathaway as well as other characters' ensembles), "Anna Karenina" (a sumptuous gown rocked by Keira Knightley), and Kristen Stewart's coronation dress from "Snow White and the Huntsman." Charlize Theron's queenly scepter is on display, too.
There are drawings and more in NBCUniversal Experience -- "Jaws" fans, take note, you'll see stuff from your favorite flick -- but that makes sense. The studio's archives extend back a century.
Costumes always have many of our hearts first, given that we, too, don clothing. Granted, we probably don't strut about in coronation gowns, but that's movie magic.

Colleen Atwood has three Oscars to her credit for the fantastical wardrobes in Alice in Wonderland, Memoirs of a Geisha, and Chicago. The L.A.-based costume designer, who will be recognized by the CFDA next week with its inaugural Tribute Award, has spawned entire sartorial worlds for directors such as Rob Marshall, Rupert Sanders, and Tim Burton—a talent with whom she's been working ever since she created Johnny Depp's slice-em-up fingers for the 1990 classic Edward Scissorhands. "Tim's an artist in his own right," says Atwood. "He's an original spirit, and he's fun to be around—most of the time. He lets other people express themselves, and has huge trust in what you'll deliver."
Working odd jobs on film sets in New York, Atwood landed her first costume gig circa 1983. "I started out working on the film division for Saturday Night Live," she recalls. "It was great training. You'd get the script at 5 p.m. on a Friday and have to shoot on Saturday. I shopped at Grand Central and Penn Station, because they were all that was open at 6 a.m."
Charlize Theron's iridescent rooster-feather cloak in Snow White and the Huntsman, Meryl Streep's hand-smocked batiste frock from Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, and the painstakingly embroidered kimonos worn in Memoirs of a Geisha are a far cry from train-station finds. But Atwood, 64, admits there are still challenges—even at the top. "Budgets have definitely gotten smaller. Now, every time you do a movie, you set up in a trailer with a couple of sewing machines and a cutter. It's not glamorous at all," she says. And while costume designers are increasingly finding themselves in the spotlight (see the press frenzy surrounding Catherine Martin's The Great Gatsby looks), Atwood feels they don't always get the respect they deserve. "As much as they may pretend that it's not, the film industry is a man's world. A lot of costume designers are women or gay. We're sort of an unnecessary thorn in their side."
Atwood's work is far from unnecessary—rather, it's integral to the development of the plot. "The duty of the costume is to move the character forward," says Atwood. "If the costumes are distracting, or incorrect, you'll be wondering about the [clothes] rather than the film; they have to enhance—but never be bigger than—the story," she says. "And sometimes, a great costume is a costume that no one notices." When asked if she was ever disappointed by a subdued design getting overlooked, Atwood says, "I don't do costumes to get noticed. I do it because it's fun."
