Today sees the launch of Balenciaga's Florabotanica scent which is fronted by Kristen Stewart,
I know she has had a little fall from grace recently and I do find her to be a huge sour puss
but do not let that put you off testing this scent as it is a beautiful bright, young floral scent
that is very romantic, yet with an unexpected kick.





"Balenciaga's Florabotanica Eau de Parfum combines the fantastical and ultra-contemporary aspects of the Balenciaga brand. The Vetiver, Amber and Caladium Leaf accord to create a resonance of mossy and mysterious dark wood. And the Rose, Carnation and Mint accord like an exhilarating note with juvenile freshness. This Experimental Rose has the power to endlessly charm."





Can we just have a moment for the bottle?
I simply adore how young, hip and modern it is, it is a complete show stopper
and something you will give pride of place on a dresser...well I know I will anyway!
I know this may sound odd but it reminds me of Alice in Wonderland, Picasso
and all things obscure...anyone else?

The scent is based on the idea of being in a wonderful garden and not quite knowing if the flowers
are innocent or venomous and the bottle encapsulates that whimsical feeling beautifully so!
Florabotanica is undeniably a strong floral scent but thanks to the Vetiver and Amber notes
it has depth and mystery. If you enjoy floral scents that are completely different to what you are used to
then I can not recommend this scent enough, it is unlike anything I own but I do feel that those who enjoy
Victor and Rolf Flower Bomb particularly the rose edition will adore this.
