Auf dem College wird Elena (Nina Dobrev) in „The Vampire Diaries“ eine neue Freundschaft schließen: Sie lernt Aaron kennen, der von Shaun Sipos gespielt wird. Wie Elena hat Aaron die eine oder andere Familientragödie zu verkraften und ist daher geradezu ans College geflüchtet. Über diese Gemeinsamkeit kommen sich die beiden näher, wie E!Online berichtet. Allerdings brauchen sich Fans von „Delena“ einstweilen wohl keine großen Sorgen zu machen. Die Beziehung zwischen Elena und Damon (Ian Somerhalder) soll nach ihren Schwierigkeiten in der vergangenen Staffel ein Weilchen Bestand haben, wie Showrunner Julie Plec bereits verraten hat.

Meet the man who will become Elena's (Nina Dobrev) new best friend! And possibly, could it be, something more?
We can exclusively reveal that CW vet Shaun Sipos (Life Unexpected, Melrose Place) has been cast on The Vampire Diaries as a new recurring character in season five.
Sipos will play Aaron, who comes to college to escape his tortured past. It's there that he meets Elena, and the two will bond over the fact that they've both experience and survived dark family tragedies. Elena attracted to a brooding and handsome stranger? Color us shocked! But also color us intrigued, please.
We also hear that it's possible Aaron will be on TVD for a lot longer than a few episodes, and we wouldn't blame Elena one bit if she fell for the guy. Sipos kind of resembles a young Brad Pitt, no? Sorry, Delena and Stelena fans. Just calling it like we see it.
But for now, those partial to Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena's relationship can relax. Creator Julie Plec promised in a recent sneak peek at season five that the writers plan to keep the couple together and happy for the time being.
"We'll see how well we do with that," she said. With the addition of this Aaron character, the writers might have their work cut out for them.
The Vampire Diaries returns Thursday, Oct. 10 on the CW.
Neue Darsteller für "The Vampire Diaries" & "The Originals" bestätigt!
Am 3. Oktober startet nicht nur die 5. Staffel „The Vampire Diaries", sondern auch das Spin-Off "The Originals". Neben vielen bekannten Gesichtern, erwartet die Fans jede Menge frisches Blut. Eine, die sich bestens mit Blutsaugern auskennen dürfte, ist Janina Gavankar.
Die 32-jährige spielte bereits bei "True Blood“ mit. Ihre Serienfigur, Gestaltwandlerin Luna, starb allerdings in der ersten Folge von Staffel 6. In „The Vampire Diaries“ mimt Gavankar Tessa, eine wunderschöne, exotische und selbstbewusste Frau, die nach Mystic Falls kommt, um eine alte Romanze wieder aufleben zu lassen. Wie „TV Line“ berichtet, wird Tessa erstmals in Folge 3 auftauchen, die zugleich viele Rückblenden beinhalten soll.

Momentan laufen die Dreharbeiten für die 5.The Vampire Diaries-Staffel auf Hochtouren.
Regisseur Joshua Butler hat auf Twitter ein Behind the scences-Bild gepostet. Auf diesem sind Damon (Ian Somerhalder) und Elena (Nina Dobrev) zu sehen. Das Bild ist zwar etwas unscharf, aber man kriegt einen guten Einblick, was gerade passiert und es stammt von den Dreharbeiten zur 2.Episode der 5.Staffel.

Mystic Falls fans, hold onto your seats! We’ve got a sneak peek into the second episode of Season 5 of The Vampire Diaries and it Delena lovers will not be disappointed.
Director Joshua Butler took to share a photo of Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) in a steamy embrace. The photo is a little fuzzy, but you get the idea.
“#LiveFromMysticFalls: @IanSomerhalder + @NinaDobrev = EPIC #TVD ROMANCE #Delena #TVD 5x02 #DirectorPride,” he tweeted on August 19 along with the pic.
We still don’t know what the second episode is called, but with a sexy hookup like this to look forward to, we don’t really care.
And by the sound of it, Joshua is definitely a fan of Damon and Elena together. With him behind the reigns of the series with showrunner Julie Plec, hopefully this season will be chock-full of wonderful Delena moments.

COMING UP NEXT | The new season picks up three months later, following a (relatively) quiet summer. But this is Mystic Falls, so peace doesn't stand a chance, particularly with Silas posing as Stefan. “We're going to explore this phenomenon of the doppelganger and how and why they exist in our mythology,” teases executive producer Caroline Dries, who also previews the arrival of a “legitimately Bigger Bad” down the road who is “scary and creates a new dynamic.” On the romance front, Elena and Damon's honeymoon period could be disrupted by her friendship with a fellow college student (played by Melrose Place's Shaun Sipos), while Caroline remains focused on Tyler even as she connects with upperclassman Jesse (Greek's Kendrick Sampson). Explains Dries: “The external conflict is, 'I can't touch you,' and the internal conflict is, 'I actually have feelings for you, but I can't talk to you about it.'"
TVLINE BONUS SPOILER | Mystic Falls' favorite busboy is getting a juicy storyline following his return from Europe. “[Matt is] not a peripheral character this season,” teases Dries. “He really has an interesting, intriguing storyline this year. We are introduced to it briefly in the season premiere.”

Vampire Diaries - Season 5 : Infos zur zweiten Episode - 5.02 " True Lies "
The CW hat die offizielle Beschreibung der zweiten Episode der fünften Staffel von The Vampire Diaries in Umlauf gebracht und auch die Bilder zur Folge ‘True Lies’ geliefert.
Beschreibung Ohne Elena davon zu erzählen, dass Stefan vermisst wird, wendet sich Damon hilfesuchend an Sheriff Forbes, um ihn zu finden. Elena und Caroline versuchen herauszufinden, wer einen Campus Mörder deckt und ein Kerl vom Whitmore College, der Student Jesse, hat für Elena einige interessante Informationen über Professor Max Westfield. Während Jeremy versucht, sich in sein altes leben zurückzukämpfen, ist er immer noch die einzigste Person, die Bonnie sehen und mit ihr sprechen kann. Allerdings kann er sie nicht davon überzeugen, das es Zeit ist, die anderen wissen zu lassen, dass die Hexe ihr eigenes Leben geopfert hat, um die anderen zu retten. Nach der Erkenntnis, dass Silas nach Katherine sucht, fragt Damon Matt und Jeremy, die nun menschliche im Auge zu behalten, aber die Situation gerät schnell außer Kontrolle. Schließlich wendet Nadia Gewalt an, um ihre eigenen Absichten durchzusetzen.

According to a recent Vampire Diaries trailer, new faces are on the way to Mystic Falls.
But in the following photo - exclusive to TV Fanatic and courtesy of the October 10th installment, "True Lies" - fans may have reason to be concerned about a very familiar face: Hang in there, Matt Donovan!
On the second episode of the fall, Matt will be sent on a mission by Damon (HINT: it involves Silas and Katherine), but by the looks of this first look image, things don't go so smoothly for our favorite resident human.
Where is he, exactly? And are those burns along the right side of his face?!?
