Co-directed by Gabriel Clarke and Jon McKenna, the film traces the complex making of the legendary star’s 1971 racing movie Le Mans. The Man & Le Mans will interweave “original insight and revelation with a remarkable sound archive,” says Content. It will also rely on never-before-seen film that had remained, until now, untouched in a Parisian basement. Executive producers are Andrew Marriott, Richard Wiseman and Content’s Jamie Carmichael. Marriot, a Motorsport consultant, had the idea for the film and archive producer Wiseman recently worked on Ron Howard’s Rush. Content is starting sales at the EFM next week with pre-production to rev up in the spring. Filming will then take place at Le Mans’ 24-hour race track, concluding at the end of the summer in the U.S.
