The popularity of True Blood has made Sookie a household name. We’ve even heard Stephen Moyer comment that he has met people with dogs named Sookie, and he’s been asked to call to them for the owners because they want to hear him say the name. Now, he may be calling to children, too since Parenting Magazine has reported that for girls, Isabella (Italian, God’s oath) and Sookie (American, unknown) took the top spots in 2011.
Parenting Magazine admits that this could be a carry-over of the vampire mania we’ve seen for the past few years thanks to Twilight and True Blood. Uh, ya think? I’d say it’s a pretty safe bet to say that the name of Sookie is directly related to True Blood. Where else could the name Sookie have come from other than the show or the books?
Unfortunately, no top spot for boy names like Bill or Eric since parents instead favored Jacob (Hebrew, supplanter) and Max (Latin, short for Maximilian, Maxwell).

Anna Paquin (29) und Stephen Moyer (42) sind nicht nur ganz schön schwanger (irgendwie fühlt ein Mann ja auch mit…), sondern erwarten auch gleich Nachwuchs im Doppelpack!
Wie die Kollegen von „Gossip Cop“ berichten, posaunte „True Blood“ Co-Star Sam Trammell (43) die frohe Botschaft in die Welt hinaus.
Er sagte, „Es ist so interessant, dass True Blood wie zu einer Zwillings-Show wird.“ Der gute Mann ist selbst Vater von Zwillingen und kann sich gut in die Beiden reinversetzen.
Offiziell wollen Paquin und Moyer, die seit 2010 verheiratet sind, aber nichts zum Thema sagen. Laut einem Sprecher diskutieren sie ihre Schwangerschaft nicht in der Öffentlichkeit. ER ist übrigens schon zweifacher Vater – eine Tochter und einen Sohn hat er aus früheren Beziehungen.

What's cooler than one True Blood baby? Two!
Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer revealed back in April they're expecting a child, but True Blood co-star Sam Trammell has accidentally let slip that the pair are having twins.
Sam, who plays bar owner Sam Merlotte, spilled the news to US Weekly while talking about his own twins with girlfriend Missy Yager.
"I'm so excited for them. We sent them a special gift. It's so interesting that True Blood has become, like, the 'twins' show," he said.
"It's harder, having twins, but it's all we know. So we're trying to impart some decent wisdom. I told them to hold on tight!"
Anna, 29, and Stephen, 42, met on the set of True Blood in 2007, and married in 2010. Stephen has two children from previous relationships — he's going to be a very busy guy soon.
True Blood fans shouldn't worry about Sookie getting knocked up with a vampire (or werewolf) baby anytime soon — Anna was nearly finished filming season five of the hit show when she announced her pregnancy.
The bubs are due before season six starts filming later this year.
