The Walking Dead Twilight"-Lady mit Comic-Schlüsselrolle in "The Walking Dead" Staffel 4
The Walking Dead Staffel 4 startet am 13.
Christian Serratos will play Rosita and recur in the fourth season of the AMC zombie drama.
AMC's The Walking Dead has added another key comic book character to its ranks.
Christian Serratos (Twilight) has booked a recurring role on the zombie drama's upcoming fourth season, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Serratos will recur as Rosita Espinosa on the adaptation of Robert Kirkman's long-running series, with an option to be promoted to series regular for season five. The character first surfaced in the 53rd issue of the series when Rosita, Abraham and Eugene were heading to Washington, D.C., and crossed paths with Rick and company at Hershel's farm. In the comics, she has romantic ties to Abraham and later Eugene. After more than 110 issues, her character is still alive.
Serratos becomes the latest comic character to board the zombie drama under new showrunner Scott M. Gimple. In April, The Wire alum Larry Gilliard Jr. booked the series regular role of Bob Stookey, a former Army medic haunted by his past. In the comics, the character was a Woodbury resident and ultimately was responsible for saving the Governor's life after he was tortured by Michonne.
In terms of the series, Abraham and Eugene have not been mentioned. It's unclear if the series will also be casting those characters.
In a July interview, longtime comics fan Gimple told THR that he's employing a "remix" approach to Kirkman's source material. "In some ways the things that divert from the comic this year have actually served being closer to the comic in some way," he said. "There's going to be some looping around to the comic and remixing. That's how I essentially look at it: It's a remix of the comic."
In addition to Twilight, Serratos' credits also include The Secret Life of the American Teenager and an episode of American Horror Story. She's repped by Global Artists Agency, Thruline and Stone Meyer.
Season four of The Walking Dead returns in October with Chad Coleman (Tyreese), Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha) and Emily Kinney (Beth) all back as series regulars.
The Walking Dead's Christian Serratos to Play Selena in Netflix Bio-Series
By Rebecca Iannucci / August 20 2019, 1:09 PM PDT
Netflix has found its Selena Quintanilla-Pérez in The Walking Dead actress Christian Serratos, who will play the Latin singer in the streamer’s upcoming bio-series.
Initially picked up at Netflix in December, Selena: The Series will consist of two parts and will chronicle Selena’s coming-of-age, when she “must make tough choices to hold on to family, true love and music,” the project’s logline reads.
Selena rose to stardom as one of the best-selling Latin artists of the 1990s, including a Grammy win in 1994 for Best Mexican/American Album. In 1995, at the age of 23 — when Selena was on the cusp of hitting it even bigger by crossing over to mainstream American pop music — she was shot and killed by her friend and former employee Yolanda Saldívar.
Serratos currently co-stars on The Walking Dead, where she has played Rosita Espinosa since Season 4. Her TV credits also include The Secret Life of the American Teenager and Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide.
