Ashley Greene at the Apple “Meet the Actor” Event, Hit or Miss?
October 8, 2013 • by Roselle •
We can’t say we’re die-hard fans of Ashley Greene, but we do find the Twilight cutie very pretty. And when she’s all dolled up for the red carpet, she’s even more stunning.
However, the actress may have taken a slight fashion mistep when she made an appearance at the Apple store in Soho, New York yesterday. For the event, Ashley chose a tiered two-fer fit n’ flare dress (from Sachin + Babi) in off-white and grey, and paired the frock with the most unusual choice of footwear — black mesh booties.
Ashley Greene signs autographs outside the Apple store in Soho, New York, after making an appearance for ‘Apple Store Presents: Meet the Actor’ and promoting her new movie, CBGB, October 7, 2013 -
A closer look at Ashley’s mesh booties
What do you think of the mix, hit or miss?
We’re leaning towards the former. We actually can’t understand what made her pick the pair. Or maybe, just maybe, she really had on a different set (of heels) while on her way to the event, but somehow broke the shoes or something so she had no choice but to put on whatever was available. What do you think of that story?
Of course, the simplest explanation would be that she or her stylist chose the pair — for whatever reason.
That said, the booties actually don’t look that bad. It’s just a simple case of misfit. Had she worn classic pumps, she would have nailed the look perfectly. As for the booties, we get the feeling those will look awesome with black skinnies or tights this season. Would you agree?
We don’t know where Ashley scored her pair at the moment (well, not yet, anyway), but you can easily grab similar style booties online if you want them. A great alternative would be the “Lissey” from Jeffrey Campbell. These shoes don’t have the patent leather trim but they come in black suede and they’re actually a lot sexier in terms of silhouette:

Now if you’re the type who craves the top lift, these options from Kate Spade and Chinese Laundry will be perfect for you. The “Neveah” booties from Kate Spade are about 4 inches tall and feature half-inch-thick platforms, while the ones from Chinese Laundry are significantly taller at 5.5 inches with inch-thick platforms. Both pairs are in black suede and feature the same sheer mesh panels as Ashley’s booties: - See more at:

Ashley Greene In Pierre Balmain – ‘CBGB’ New York Premiere
Ashley Greene joined Stana Katic for the premiere of ‘CBGB: The Movie’ during the CBGB Music & Film Festival 2013 held at Landmark Sunshine Cinema in New York City yesterday evening.
Also dressed in head-to-toe black, Ashley wore a Pierre Balmain LBD with a cut-out racer neckline, which she styled with black Christian Louboutin studded pumps, a black Kilian clutch, and jewels courtesy of Genevieve Jones.
On this occasion I am just happy that the footwear improved from the day before, but overall this sultry look gets the thumbs up for being sexy without trying too hard.
You can buy Ashley’s Christian Louboutin Pigalle Spikes Pumps from Net-A-Porter.com, Barneys.com and Luisa via Roma.
Ashley Greene wagt verführerischen Lidschatten in Violett!
